Software Process Improvement is crucial as any organization attempts to take on and deliver larger projects. The lack of well-defined software processes can be very costly.

Software Process improvement affects more than just the processes used by practitioners to perform their work. Process change means culture change, replete with all the difficulties inherent in changing the perceptions, values, and normative behaviors of a community.

In 2002, DMS started the quality journey by following all the above mentioned phases. DMS started by selecting and planning to use CMM - SW Ver1.1.

In July 2004, DMS was the first software company to be appraise for SEI – CMM – SW, Ver1.1, Staged Representation, Level 3, using SCAMPI Class A, Ver1.1 with CMM then independent DMS Quality Control and Assurance  team was performed, Metrics collection was streamlined, regular audits and reviews conducted .

In 2005, DMS was the First Arab and African company to be appraised for SEI  – CMMI – SW, Ver 1.1, Staged Representation, Maturity Level 4, using SCAMPI Class A, Ver1.1.

All of the above mentioned activities pushed DMS ahead in the way of Productivity and Quality improvement, Quantitative Project Management approach, Early Defect Detection, Post- Release Defects reduction; Projects consistently reach customer satisfaction and performance targets, Development/Maintenance Costs reduction and Integration of Products and Services improvement.

It is worth to mention that DMS believes that quality is not a simple destination, it is a continuous journey guided by a number of quality theories and processes. Achieving one quality benchmark is simply a stepping-stone to achieving the next.

DMS proudly announce its quality journey continuity by preparing to be appraised for CMMI-Dev,Ver1.2, Staged Representation, ML5 using SCAMPI Class A, Ver1.2.
