As the leading regional software house, DMS founded its Research Center for the purpose of carrying out the company research missions.

In internal researches DMSRC provides the necessary support to all DMS departments and divisions applying technological developments and handling required research works in any of the four main sectors (healthcare, financial and banking, insurance, and manufacturing solutions).
Internally, DMSRC is also responsible for research works related to broadening the corporate share in the software and technology market by creating and developing new system applications. System applications in DMS cover all types of tools and utilities that make the lives of both developers and end users easier.

Externally, DMSRC is responsible for a wide spectrum of research cooperation with various international and local institutions and organizations aiming at developing and utilizing the most advanced researches and technology applications.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the National Civil Aviation Training Organization (NCATO), FCIS of Ain Shams University, Helwan University, Mansoura University, and Zagazig University, are essential examples of the research agencies with which a sort of fruitful cooperation is taking place with DMS through DMSRC. Such collaboration is presented by a number of projects and activities such as sponsoring MIE (Made In Egypt contest) graduation projects.

The DNA profiling research project is also one of the big research cooperation projects handled by DMSRC in cooperation with Ain Shams University – FCIS, beside Decision Support System in the field of healthcare.

A further example of the department achievements in broadening the technologies and software tools applied in the healthcare field is SARA System which is a multidimensional report generator of the pharmaceutical market share analysis at all market macro and micro levels.

Within the next 2 years, DMSRC is expecting more research cooperation in the fields of business automation technologies, and healthcare decision support systems underlying technologies and techniques.
